How to Add Products to a Quote

Now you've Created your Products and Created a Quote, we can go through how to add these in to your quote. Acces your quotes from the Quote tab from your user menu panel.


Adding Products to your Quote

Now you've set up your sections, added items or presets you can add in products that you have already set up for you standard/core range.

  1. To add a product, you first need to add an item or preset, you will then be able to proceed to add in your products. For example:

  1. Now you've clicked into your item, simply click on the Add New button and select 'Product', a new pop up will appear to choose your product.

  1. Choose your product from the dropdown menu.
  2. Make any adjustments to the measurements if required.
  3. Finalise by clicking 'Create'.

This will now take you back to your quote where the item has now been added. To add more products, simply follow the same process above until you've added everything you require for the quote.

Tips: to change the product dimensions that are listed, simply click on these under the size column, amend as required and save your changes. This will recalculate your material costs.

If you require multiple quantities of a product, simply update this on the quote screen by clicking into the quantity column and updating accordingly.

Please Note: you will require to have some products already created for products to appear here in a quote. To learn how to create products see: How to Create Products


Editing Products inside a Quote

If the product differs from your standard set up, you can update this inside the customers quote rather than having to create a new product for a 'once off' change.

To update the product parts inside a quote:

  1. Click on the product you want to update - this will take you into the product where you can see all the individual parts or components.
  2. If you require an update to a current part, simply click on this and amend as required.
  3. If you require to add more parts, click the 'Add New' button and add as required.
  4. If you need to delete parts, click the checkbox/s next to the part name and use the 'With Selected' button to delete.
  5. Finalise your clicking 'Save Changes'.

Tip: make sure to check your quantities are correct for you newly added parts. Update this by clicking into the quantity column on the line you need to update.

Click into your overhead, wastage and profit margin columns to update if required.
