Creating Quote Presets with Products

Now that you have created a 'core range' of products you can now create quote presets. To access your presets, click into your 'Settings' from the user menu, find and click on 'Quoting' then 'Presets'.


Create a Quote Preset

Once you've accessed your preset settings by following the above steps, let's go through how to create a preset:

  1. Click on 'Create'.
  2. Enter the name of your Preset.
  3. Finalise by clicking 'Create' again.

You will now be taken to the 'Edit Preset' page which will look similar to creating a quote. Let's start naming your items:

  1. Click the 'Add New' button.
  2. Select 'Item' & the Create Item pop up will appear.
  3. Name your 'Item' as you want it to appear. Eg: Tall Cabinets.
  4. Enter a description, this can be inclusions/exclusions etc. This is optional.
  5. Finalise by clicking 'Create'.

You will now be taken back to your Edit Preset page now let's add your products.

  1. Click into the section or item you have just created.
  2. Click the 'Add New' button.
  3. Choose 'Product' from your dropdown menu, a new 'Create Component' pop up will appear.
  4. Choose the product from your dropdown.
  5. Change the name if required.
  6. Select your quantity.
  7. Finalise by clicking 'Create'.

Follow the above steps to add all of your products to your preset. Once you have finished, click 'Save Changes'.

Congratulations! You've just set up a Quote Preset. Complete this for all your standard options to help save time when quoting.


Adding Presets to a Quote

Once you've set up your quote presets with your products you can add these by clicking either the lightning bolt symbol on your quote or by clicking the 'Add New' button and selecting 'Preset'.

  1. Create a Quote or open an existing quote and click 'Update'.
  2. Click either the lightning bolt or 'Add New' to add a preset.
  3. Choose your preset/s from the dropdown.
  4. Choose the section that the preset is to applied to.
  5. Finally, click 'Create'!

Why should I create Quote Presets?

This will allow you the ability to use these presets as many time as required for quotes moving forward, and is the way the your organisation will save a huge amount of time. Using quote presets will see your organisation product quotes quicker, less wait time for your customers, leading to having more quotes accepted/won, which results in more jobs. Another great feature about creating/using presets is, potentially will allow your organisation to move away from having to design or draw first in your CAD software just to produce an estimate for a customer, so lets take a further look and learn how to set up and use presets.
