How to use Cloud File Storage - File Folder Structure
Now you've connected Jobman to your cloud file storage provider we can go through the ways you can create seperate folders for your files to help save time trying to search through multiple documents within a folder. This can be actioned in either Jobman or via your cloud storage site.
Please note: some service providers do not handle the use of some specials characters (ie: #,$ etc) in their file names so this may cause an error when trying to sync or update your data.
Set Up File Directories In Jobman
You can create internal file folders straight from your Jobman once you've connect your cloud file storage provider, to do this access the 'Files' tab from your user menu panel.
To create a new heading file folder, click the 'New Folder' button.
If you want to create a sub-folder, click into the heading folder first.
Template Folders
What is a Template Folder? This is a folder that is automatically created in your Jobman and Cloud File Storage when any new lead, job is project is created.
Access your cloud file storage & you will see that the 'Base Directory' name has been created, for example: Jobman Files.
- Inside this folder you will see your new folders. All of your data will upload here.
- If you require to save multiple documents, you can create sub-folders to better organise your files.
To set these up as standard folders for all jobs or leads, please create your required folders within the template folder. Eg: Jobman Files > Jobs > Template > 'Create Folder'.
Information: Jobs and Leads information will save to these folders. Once you have set up your folders, you can view these within your Jobman App.
Managing Your Folders
Once you've set up your folders, you can share, view details, rename or delete these by using the 3-dot menu next to the folder as shown below.
View Your Folders & Files
View, add or manage files within the Jobman app under the lead or job by clicking into the resources tab in either your contact, lead, job or project.
