Variations

Variations allow for you to make additional quotes once a job has been started and link these quotes to the job to create up to date job values, operational times, material handling and visibility.


Creating a Variation

Important: only jobs with linked leads will allow for the creation of variations.

  1. Go to your Job & click on the 'Info' tab
  2. At the top of tab is the attached Lead

  3. Click on the Lead number (this will take you directly to the lead)
  4. Click the +New button and choose 'Quote'


  1. Complete your normal quoting process, ensuring that the quote status is 'Accepted'
  2. Go back the relevant Job, go to your Resources Tab & click into 'Quotes'
  3. Click the 'Add' button and select the variation quote you just created


  1. Job values and relevant operation time/materials will automatically update to reflect the addition of the variation quote

Important: simply revising or refreshing an attached quote to a job will not create a variation or amend values. This is an important step so that your organisation has exact transparency over any changes made during the life cycle of the job.

Pro Tip: You can create a variation just for a work order. Follow the above process but choose the 'Add Quote' inside the work order rather than the parent job.
