Invoices Types and Statuses

Jobman allows you to configure Invoice Types and Statuses. Using this feature, you can manage the types of invoices that can be created and track them by defining their statuses. To access these simply click on 'Settings' from your user menu panel, find and click on 'Accounting' and then you'll see settings for Invoice Types and Invoice Statuses.


Creating Invoice Types

  1. Under the Invoice Types page, click 'Create'.
  2. Enter the name of your Invoice Type. For example: 'Full Invoice', 'Partial Invoice' or 'Credit'.
  3. Enter the code - please ensure this matches with your accounting software.
  4. Classification - choose either Payable or Receivable from the dropdown.
  5. Account - choose the appropriate account from the dropdown.
  6. Finally, click 'Create'.

Creating Invoice Statuses

  1. Under the Invoice Statuses page, click 'Create'.
  2. Enter the name of your Invoice Status. For example: Draft, Submitted, Approved, Void or Paid.
  3. Enter the code - please ensure this matches with your accounting software.
  4. Click the checkboxes that apply to the status. For example: Draft = Can Be Updated + Can Be Submitted.
  5. Finally, click 'Create'.

Congratulations on adding an invoice status!

We recommend for your Invoice Status that you set 'Draft' as your default.


Updating Invoice Types or Invoice Statuses

Open the invoice type or status you would like to update, click the 'Update' button and amend as required. Make sure to finalise the change by clicking 'Save Changes'.


Deleting Multiple Invoice Types 

To delete multiple invoice types, go to your list of invoice types, click the checkboxes of the ones you want to delete, at the top of your screen next to the search bar click the 'With Selected' dropdown and click 'Delete'.
